What´s the EVS
European Voluntary Service (EVS) is the European Commission's project that gives the people (18–30 years) an opportunity to become a volunteer in foreign country for a period of time from 2 to 12 months. The service activities varied from the organisation it can be focused on work with children, on environment, ecology etc. Each project can have four partners, a volunteer, a sending organisation, a coordinating organisation and a host organisation. The project has to take place in a country which is different than a country where the volunteers live.
Finance: The volunteer gets pocket money each month and also money for food (however, some organisation may prepare food for the volunteer by itself). The receiving and coordinating organisation is also required to ensure safe and appropriate accommodation for the volunteer. Travel expenses (plane to and from the country, bus, train, public transport during the service) are also paid by the organisation.
