On the visit in children paradise
It was Tuesday again, 31st of May, and we traditionally went for a trip. This time our worker Danka (worker of preschool club) organized awesome visit in Komenského sady in city centre of Ostrava. We went by bus where children showed their kind faces as the older children helped the younger ones during entering and getting out of the bus.
Children´s Day in Coexistence Village
On 31st of May 2016 we organized Children´s Day whose theme was spectacular World Tour.
European Voluntary service
On 10th of May 2016 the Diocesan Caritas Ostrava- Opava organized its first event in Ostrava Impact Hub concerning European Voluntary Service (EVS) and volunteers who our organisation host or coordinate. The aim of this event was to inform youth at the age of 17-30 about the possibility of this service and provide them with detailed information. The event was also held at the occasion of 20th anniversary of EVS.
Fun of preschool children in Science and Technology Centre
On 24th of May 2016 we went with children to learn new knowledge and have fun to Science and Technology Center in Vítkovice. We used public transport as usually and children proved that they are experienced travellers.
Miss Horizont 2016
On 19th of May 2016 the low - threshold facility for children and youth organized 3rd year of event called Miss Horizont. In this activity not only girls from Horizont participated, but also our friends from Coexistence Village from Ostrava- Muglinov and Maják club from Havířov.
Cooking in Depo Club
On Wednesday on 18 of May 2016 we again felt the smell of the meal floated through the whole club Depo!
Distinguished visitors in Preschool club
On Tuesday 17.5.2016 the children from Preschool club of Horizont center had the possibility to go for a trip and see Preschool Club of Coexistence Village.
The participants of Diocesan "pilgrimage" of charities filled in the cathedral of Ostrava
The „ pilgrimage „of charities of diocese of Ostrava-Opava was hosted by reconstructed cathedral of the Holy Saviour in Ostrava. Besides spiritual part the programme also included presentation of three charities celebrating significant anniversary of their establishment.

In Bílá Voda they know how to turn communion wafers into chips
Bílá Voda (region of Jeseníky) – In the only plant producing communion wafers in the Czech Republic – Unita in Bílá Voda in Jeseníky region – they came with new way of making use of leftovers from production of round wafers used for Holy Communion. Before the leftovers were put into bags and were distributed to parishes but now they came with more efficient and original utilization – special Unichips are made out of them.
